Nurse Practitioner

Local Wellness is expanding, and we are seeking a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing, multidisciplinary clinic in Athabasca, Alberta.

Our clinic currently offers physiotherapy, massage therapy, and acupuncture, and our goal is to continue building a community-based health hub that provides accessible, patient-centered care in a collaborative environment.

There are currently no Nurse Practitioners offering private primary care in Athabasca, creating a strong opportunity to establish a meaningful and in-demand practice.

About the Opportunity

This role is ideal for an NP looking for:

Autonomy in clinical practice
A supportive clinic environment
The ability to build a patient panel at their own pace
A rural setting with strong community need and demand

This position operates under a base rent + administrative fee model, allowing you to retain control of your practice while avoiding the overhead and stress of clinic ownership.

Athabasca is located in the area for the Federal Student Loan Forgiveness Program. Nurse Practitioners can receive up to $30,000 of Federal Loans over 5 years.
